⚠️ What it is: Carpal Tunnel Syndrome

🧠 What’s happening:

  • A nerve in your wrist called the median nerve gets compressed
  • This affects:
    • Thumb 👍
    • Index finger ☝️
    • Middle finger ✌️
    • Half of the ring finger

👉 That’s exactly why those fingers are highlighted in red in the image.

🔥 Symptoms:

  • Tingling or “pins and needles”
  • Numbness in those fingers
  • Weak grip
  • Pain that can travel up the arm

💻 Common causes:

  • Repetitive hand use (mouse, phone, typing)
  • Wrist position (bent for long periods)
  • Inflammation or swelling

🛠️ What actually helps:

  • Keep wrist straight (neutral position)
  • Take frequent breaks
  • Stretch fingers and wrist
  • Use ergonomic mouse/keyboard
  • Night wrist brace (very effective)

❗ Important truth:

That viral type of image often oversimplifies things —
not every finger numbness = carpal tunnel.

  • Constant numbness
  • Losing strength in your hand
  • Dropping objects

👉 At that point, medical evaluation is needed.
