Start the washing machine empty, on a 90 degree wash, and pour vinegar diluted with water into the detergent drawer and into the fabric softener compartment. Add one part vinegar to two parts water! Mix three tablespoons in about two dl of lukewarm water, and use a cloth to wipe the washing machine drum, detergent drawer, door and rubber seals.

Restart an empty wash at 90 degrees with baking soda. Mix two tablespoons in two deciliters of water. Then pour this into the detergent drawer and the fabric softener compartment. When the program runs, the unpleasant odors will be gone!
