Cleaning your washing machine is an extremely important action at certain intervals, as the washing machine is one of our most important household appliances that helps us keep our clothes fresh and clean every day. But have you ever thought that it also needs to be cleaned? This action not only extends the life of the machine, but also improves the quality of your clothes and even reduces the negative impact on our environment.

Cleaning your washing machine means not only removing dirt and detergent residues that accumulate in the machine, but also eliminating unpleasant odors.

With this amazing and effective method, your washing machine can become sparkling clean and fragrant again. All you need is toothpaste, lemon and baking soda.

What can these three ingredients help with?

Over time, your washing machine can emit unpleasant odors, and in more serious cases, it can also develop mold. The combination of toothpaste, lemon and baking soda not only cleans, but also gives the washing machine a freshness. At the same time, it prevents the formation of mold. With a simple trick, you can partially renew your machine completely.

How to use the homemade mixture?
Cut a lemon in half and put toothpaste on it, then put it in the washing machine. Sprinkle two tablespoons of baking soda on the rubber ring. Then pour a little water on it. Start an empty wash, and the end result will be a nice clean and fresh washing machine.
We have another special tip!
Start the washing machine empty, on a 90 degree wash, and pour vinegar diluted with water into the detergent drawer and into the fabric softener compartment. Add one part vinegar to two parts water! Let the program run. Then make a cleaning solution with baking soda. Mix three tablespoons in about two dl of lukewarm water, and use a cloth to wipe the washing machine drum, detergent drawer, door and rubber seals.

Restart an empty wash at 90 degrees with baking soda. Mix two tablespoons in two deciliters of water. Then pour this into the detergent drawer and the fabric softener compartment. When the program runs, the unpleasant odors will be gone!
